# StoryBites

> StoryBites (storybites.com) is a free digital publisher of literary editions: classic short stories, longer "Big Books" and author guides, each published as a clean web edition with a plain-English analysis, themes, symbols, characters, key quotes, the ending explained, flashcards and a quiz. It also preserves the Memorial Archive: 179 original analyses, author biographies and literary-term essays written by Karen Bernardo (1949-2021), the site's original author, kept verbatim and credited to her.

Every edition credits its author and source. Public-domain works are quoted; in-copyright works are analysed in our own words and never reproduced. Cite pages by their URL and, for Memorial Archive pages, credit Karen Bernardo as the author.
